4) I don't do black Friday. It does not interest me AT ALL. Am I missing out? I stayed home and did laundry, decorated and relaxed.
5) We went to a lovely wedding on Saturday. Though a cold front blew in right when things got started and well, it was quite a chilly ceremony! I loved her decor - the bride made everything herself!
7) I have exactly 98 Christmas cards to address and get out. Is that a lot? People tend to look at me like I'm a little nuts when I tell them how many I'm mailing.
8) I'm done washing dishes. I never want to wash another dish for the rest of my life. I feel like I've done nothing but bake pies and wash dishes for the past five days! This week is paper plates and leftovers. I'm officially on a dish strike.
9) I am all decorated for Christmas! My favorite evening time ritual now is watching Hallmark movies with only the lights of the tree on. And perhaps a glass of egg-nog too.
10) I'm serious about the turkey thing. NO. MORE. TURKEY.
11) It's time to get my cyber Monday on. Are you shopping online today too?
It sounds like you had a wonderful holiday. Your pie looks wonderful and your little guy is as cute as a button. This is my first visit to your blog, but I'll be back. I really enjoyed the time I spent here. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you had a great holiday! I don't do Black Friday shopping either! I did one year and swore NEVER again. Old women can me very mean! I did a little cyber shopping today but not a lot. I am about 95% finished with my Christmas shopping thank goodness! I had hoped to be finished by Dec 1st and it will be close! On the cards, I send out about 40 every year and I thought that was a lot! :)
ReplyDelete1. I made my second real apple pie, though Raj did all of the peeling and chopping of apples, which is where all of the work is. Then I got all of the credit. Score! (Even better - there are still two pieces in the fridge. The pumpkin pie is gone though. Sadface.)
ReplyDelete2. I will be looking at turkey for roughly the rest of my life. We had a 23lb. turkey and seven people.
3. I'm so glad that pumpkin eggnog lived up to its serious potential. I'm already looking forward to eggnog in my coffee, eggnog in my oatmeal, and making eggnog pancakes. BRING IT ON, CHRISTMAS SEASON.
4. I have my first ever artificial tree, which I will attempt to assemble when I get home today. I have a feeling it won't go well and I'll have to wait for Raj to get home and take a study break to help me.
5. I think I'm sending around 25 cards. I'm a slacker. But almost all of them are mailed, since doing Christmas cards sounded way more fun on Friday than doing school work when I went to the library with Raj. (In order to escape his parents, for I am a terrible hostess.) (They were sightseeing! It's not like I left them sitting home alone!)
6. I do not do Black Friday. Made my Cyber-Monday Amazon purchases earlier today. Christmas shopping: done!
Aren't toddlers FUN!?!?! haha
